Hey Dads OF THE WORLD did you think cakes were just for girls? Well think again! La Baguette has created a cake exclusively for men – at least in principle. But anyone can eat it! It is dark, animalistic, mysterious and totally masculine in appearance and design. When you see it there is only one word that will come to mind: TARZAN! In other words this is a cake for guys.
What do we call it? We call it... THE CHOCOLATE CONCORDE
– a moist dark chocolate mousse coated in chocolate glaze and generously covered with chocolate meringue over the erupting outside perimeter.
The CHOCOLATE CONCORDE, like most of our cakes, comes in two convenient sizes:
- 6-inch and 8-inch for parties up to 6 persons
- 8-inch serves up to 10 guests
The Concorde pairs superbly with all meat entrées, red meat or otherwise.
The most popular and engaging Father's Day cake we ever made was in the shape of a Porterhouse Steak (which we still offer by the way!). No kidding – it was so authentic even now people mistake its photograph on La Baguette TV for the real thing rather than the butter cream it was!
Chef Mario Armitano loves to experiment with combining different senses and sensibilities, the sweet with the savoury, things which on the surface might appear incompatible.
